City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

Vertigo

This is a typical high rise apartment block in Tuzla.
How do they differ from skyscrapers in your city, if you have any?
Do you feel dizzy when sky high?

Hi Ame glad to see you're alive and kicking, =) I'm coming over to Santa Clara often (ah that fallafel place looks so tempting) but blogger doesn't allow me to leave any comments... problems, problems =)

The same goes to Irredento, sorry guys.

Jazzy, Why can't you leave messages at those posts? You should be able to--right? I got a kick out of the satellite dishes on some flats. I think that all tall buildings will give someone vertigo if they lean toward that. I don't like to be up too high, but for not particular reason, tho.

I had the same problem; go to your blogger account to turn on accepting those who aren't Bloggers.

Jazzy, another great photo! Although I DO have vertigo, so I won't be going upstairs.

We have some high-rise buildings but somehow they look different. I think in most case our high-rises are wider. So even though that may be as tall they don't look as tall as this.

Skyscrapers are common sight in Singapore. There's not much land to build things sideways, so it can only go upwards! :-)

Kris, you're a hoot. Jazzy, we're starting to have 'high rises' of about 7 stories.

By the way, what do you think the guy (gal?) has, on the left, three floors down from the top?

Jazzy....you've taken an otherwise-let's face it-unattractive building-and captured beauty!
