City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

Wanna play?

In this part of the town called 'Slatina' there is a huge chess playground.
These pensioners get out every day to play chess no matter what the weather is, even when it's snowing. It's a great time to spend time with friends and have fun at the same time.
They have to take turns because there are quite a lot of them.

They kindly allowed me to take few photos of them =)

Looks like a wonderful idea--all ages. The young boy looks fascinated by it all.

Thanx all for visiting =)

Moloko - this playground is in the center of Slatina, surrounded by residential buildings, there is basketball playground next to it, that's just next to Centrotextil if you can remember =)

Kate - yes it's a great place for gathering, the youngsters are not allowed to play big chess, you can see kids playing small chess in the background (very eager players) =)

OCP - you're welcome to come back at least for your holiday, we have pyramids now, nature is great - mountains, rivers... and plenty more =)
