City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

Just a suggestion, try sharpening the colours a bit in photoshop.

Just wondering... do you happen to know, what area is this photo from? Should we notice any bigger towns or lakes in this picture?


This is my first comment to you, but I pop in at least once a week to your blog. I really enjoy it! It is a nice way to see how are things in the heart-shape country of Europe (and in the salt town, where a very dear friend of mine lives).

Off Topic: I climbed the Maglić in summer 2006 and it would be amazing, if one of these mountains shown here is indeed Maglić....
