City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

Panonica Lake




Today is the first official day of swimming on the salty lake Panonica. Lots of people of all ages were enjoying the warm wather and nice water, despite of the higher price of the ticket this year.

look at all those speedos haha - what a great and interesting contrast to the swimwears in the islands - always fun to see the difference in beach attire in different parts of the world!

Apart from Modrac Lake we have this new one from the summer of 2003, very popular during the summer, they are talking of making it a skating ring during the winter time.
