City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

An Open Air Museum Salty Square - Slani Trg

This picture is taken on The Salty Square - Solni Trg, in the heart of Tuzla.
An open air museum about the history of salt production in Tuzla going back to Neolithic times, some peces are even 7000 years old. First salty wells were situated where the square is now, now you can only see the artefacts.

I am new to this site. I have spent a lot of time in Zenica but never made it to Tuzla. I have some friends here in California from Tuzla so I will follow your photos with interest.
