City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

Ads or not?

It says on the poster, join the best club. I'm not particularly sure about ads for cigarettes at all, but never the less it's been hanged up in the middle of the city centre.

Ads were banned for cigarettes here. I don't even see them in magazines and certainly not on television. Years ago, the television sets were cloudy with cigarette smoke and some of the hosts actually smoked while delivering the news, or talking to guests. I can't imagine that happening now.

In those days, sometimes you would see a man, naked, run across the stage while something else was happening. It made for exciting television.

Very subtle ad for cigarettes. Well the picture isn't subtle but the smoking message is.

It looks pretty intrusive even if it wasn't an ad for cigarettes.
