City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

Peace pipe

Is it a myth that Native Americans used to settle an argument by sitting around the fire, and instead of fighting shared a pipe? That's what we were taught when we were kids. We even have a saying 'lula mira' which literally means a pipe that signifies peace. After the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, someone put this picture on the apartment block calling for all the nations to 'share a pipe' and stop fighting.
Hope your week is peaceful.

PS Alice, Nathalie, Owen and Mimmu thank you for stopping by on my first day of posting.

And it`s so much needed in every part of world. But a greed for gain and greed for power and just a greed to get everything to me seems to be more and more common even in ads.
(We have ads , where a big man is running his tongue out from a mouth after nam,nam jelly, it`s disgusting.)
Sorry, ads are in so much lower level than a peace.
Have a good, pleasant week!

Oh so this isn't straight advertising but a call for peace? That's very nice! Hope it works!

Lula Mira is called 'Calumet de la Paix' in French...

Actually, I'll have to disappoint you all-- the 'Lula Mira' ad refers to FABRIKA DUHANA SARAJEVO (Tobacoo Industry Sarajevo), and it has no link with the 'peaceful' concept of the symbol whatsoever. One should look closer to see the FDS sign and logo, although it's quite visible. It's just a plain comercial ad for tobacoo company, nothing else. NO hidden symbols or altruistic meaning. Sorry to break the party!!
