City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

Croshet

Very popular past time for women in Bosnia is knitting, making laces, crochets…
My mum is a champion in knitting.

What is your past time? If you have any!

I'm away at the moment and will not be able to leave comments on your blogs.

Yes, women in my childhood made these crafts beautifully. And, there seems to be a resurgence of interest these days. My pastime is reading and writing. Biking in summer is glorious, too. My MAIN pastime is travelling. Oh, to win the lottery!!

My Mother in Law was a fine knitter. She tried to teach me but I was so tense I could not get the yarn to come off of the needles.
I love to make notecards from my photos and like Kate I adore traveling.

cela me rappelle ma grand-mére, elle faisait des choses merveilleuses avec son crochet.
mes passes temps : la promenade (avec mon appareil photo ;o), les concerts et la litterature. rien d'original. et toi ?

that points out my grandmother to me, it made marvellous things with its hook. my master keys time: the walk (with my camera; O), concerts and literature. nothing original. and you ?

My mum was a fabulous knitter (arthritis stopped her) and used to knit for the Paton's ( a brand of wool) pattern books - had some front covers. I know how to knit but alas my time is consumed otherwise. But I've made a few things in my time - pre-computer!

I never had much talent at all for knitting or sewing, although I have a few friends who do.

I took a mandatory home ec course in middle school, and was quite pleased with the results of my work-a really cheap looking tote bag ;)

My grandmother used to knit things like this all the time for many years. Now she is too old for that.

It seems that everyone´s grandma in every country knits like this. Some things are the same everywhere, people are people no matter where they happened to be born.

My favorite past time is hanging out with my wife, taking photos and blogging, walking in the park, reading books.
