City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

Our new kitten, born July 13, was rescued, along with her brothers and sisters, from a storm drain downtown! She is healthy and happy, but Old Kitty is a bit put out with having a rival.

In the U.S., it's "meow" for "miau"!! Interesting to see/hear how animal sounds are pronounced/spelled around the world.

I hope this cat is rescued.

Interesting how similar the words are to duplicate a cat's meow! I agree that there should be more animal protection agencies, and also criminal charges for those owners who neglect them---I'm talking about extreme cases that hit the news on occasion. Can't imagine how people can harm such defenseless animals.

in Japanese it's "niau". and you have to make the motion of a cat washing it's ears.
(thanks for your visit)
