City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

200th post

This is a great Sony Centre where I watched fabulous new James Bond film Casino Royale.
What a great place to mark my 200th post.
I've never though I'd get there, Tuzla is a small city and sometimes one has to be imaginative to get you, lovely people, keep interested so you have a reason to come back to see what's up in Tuzla Mahala (neighbourhood).

Only 17 years ago The Brandenburg Gate was on the eastern side of Berlin divided by infamous Berlin wall.

A great monument to 200 posts!

No need to feel you have to apologize for Tuzla photos; believe me, it's all interesting. The very narrow details illuminate the broad one that you choose to show us. And you are such a good photographer.

Yes, fab photo as usual. I like your Tuzla photos a lot too - the seemingly insignificant things are just as interesting as the big fancy buildings you get elsewhere.

Oh, dear, 200! Congratulations! Only 17 years, or 17 years already? The world has changed a bit since then, hasn't it?!

Wonderful photo--stands out on the portal, too! Your posts and narrative ALWAYS interest me. Sometimes I feel that way too; how does one compare with great cities like NYC, Paris, Venice, etc. but the human interest photos from smaller towns have a charm of their own, don't you think??
