City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

It took a long time for the flower to open, it's rather weather-beaten and we're still a long way from fruit, but finally things are on the move.

A month already. Perhaps one day you could take us on a tour of Tuzla and show us the signs that still remain of what was done to Tuzla during that era.

Tomorrow 5 July the decision of the Dutch Appeal Court will be announced concerning the legal action brought by Hasan Nuhanovic and the Mustafic family against the Netherlands over the Dutch failure to protect their relatives when they orderede them to leave the base at Potocari and handed them over to Mladic for execution.

Jazzy, it was a wonderful result, setting aside the fact that it doesn't change what happened at Potocari. I can't read Dutch but there's a legal analysis in English of the Court of Appeal ruling (not too easy to read, but raises the main points):

Very nice photo! I wanted to ask - did you manually blur the background or just used a close focus? Thanks!
