City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

pffff remember stairs like this from when I lived in Tuzla in 2000 :-)
No elevator was working, ofcourse. And always I had to be on one of the higher levels. Seen many of them.

Excellent photo! I really like these yugoslav buildings. Although it's true that nowadays they tend to look old and old-fashioned and damaged and dirty, they have a very nice aesthetics, and the houses were very well divided.

this could be 139 Marsala Tita...It's how I remember it going up to 7th floor every day when the lift wasn't working. Love the shot and the memories.
