City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

That sign must be important since it's gotten their attention. The building is an interesting shade of green.

What's on the sign? Is it a war memorial? Is it right in your downtown area? Lovely photo. Regards from EAGAN daily photo. I live 20 minutes from Kate who posted before me!

It's the massacre memorial, isn't it? I didn't think about it at the time you posted the picture of the gymnasts but presumably the flowers in the picture behind them were there in memory of the anniversary.

I just checked and found that the Republika Srpska officer responsible for the shelling was convicted and sentenced to 25 years imprisonment just a couple of days ago. I hope the family of all those young people who were killed feel that at last some justice has been achieved, even though nothing can bring them back.

yeah its massacre memorial, 72 young lives were stoped at that place on 25th of May. They were youth of Tuzla, now they could have been doctors, engineers, presidents... This is what we will never forget. The guy responsible for this got only 25 years in jail, its too little, too little for one life of a child of Tuzla and he was responsible for killing 72 of them!

Some justice...!
