City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

The oldest mosque in Tuzla "Turalibegova Dzamija"

"Turalibegova Dzamija" also known as "Poljska Dzamija" was built in 1572 has seen so many changes in the city and now it's getting new apparel herself!

to answer your question, the name 'poljska' is coming from the word 'polje' which means 'field'.
the mosque was built in the field so that's why it got the name 'Poljska'.
