City on a grain of salt. Tuzla means a place of salt and it lays on top of the salt lake. It is suspected it has been there for around 7000 years as one of the oldest places in Europe.

Library

Old library, unfortunately it hasn't been renovated yet.
Hope you all have a nice Sunday!

It must have been a beautiful building at one time; where is the current library housed? I find it interesting to see the modern lamp next to this once-beautiful but old building.

Must have been fine library. Europe could do something for it.

Was this from the war? Was your library deliberately targeted like the National Library?

thanks all for stopping by! rally appreciate it!
this is one of the rare old austro-hungarian buildings left in the city (unfortunately).
should you come visit Tuzla you can find it on the main road going trough the city, when going from west to east (hope it's clear. anyway, Tuzla is not big and it will be hard to miss it).
it's been standing like this for years now and i don't have any information if it's going to be restored. it would be great if it does.

Shame, it looks as if it would be really attractive if it was properly repaired and redecorated.
